It seems the much touted Mediterranean Diet is a bit more nuanced than we may have thought. A recent study found that certain foods commonly found in the diet are more important than others. Specifically eating more vegetables, fruits, nuts, pulses and olive oil, and drinking moderate amounts of alcohol was linked to greater longevity while eating more fish, seafood and cereal was not.
